If you wish to appeal the decision to an independent panel you must submit your appeal, in writing, on an Appeal From, setting out the grounds for appeal by 1st April. The Academy is responsible for organising an independent appeal.
Any additional evidence you wish to submit in support of your appeal must be received by Friday 15th May.
Appellants will receive at least 10 school days' notice of the appeal hearing, unless you indicate that you are willing to accept short notice.
Wherever possible, appellants will receive a decision letter within 5 school days of the hearing.
Appeals lodged by the deadline will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.
Late appeals will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals, where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Under normal circumstances, we send your appeal to the Clerk who organises the Independent Appeal Panel. Implications of running appeals in light of the current government guidance in respect to the restriction asssociated with the coronavirus outbreak mean that is not possible to plan for appeals at this stage. As you know, usual business is currently disrupted and therefore we are not running usual school business now. Appeals due to run as published on our website will therefore be postponed until further guidance is received.
